The need for accessible, affordable, and beautifully fresh designs in the Australian marketplace saw Talitha Becker’s vision in 1997 come to life – fast forward 16 years and SASS has grown into a go-to brand for fashion go-getters!
Designed with love in fashion capital Melbourne, Australia, SASS has grown to serve over 500 boutiques across Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. Also a key brand in major Australian retailer MYER, we are stocked throughout all stores nation-wide, among multiple other majors. SASS is ever-evolving, just like our girls. Led by head designer Charmaine Mewing, alongside her team of creative experts, SASS will stay true to the promise of providing beautiful, trend-driven, affordable fashion.
The Onikas is a lifestyle brand inspired by the romance of travel, the magic of artisan-made goods, and the mindful pursuit of dreams. Its founders, Jonnyka and Veronica – “The Onikas” – met in high school and bonded over their love for fashion, art and travel.
Our artisan collaborations span the globe, from expert block printers who hand-stamp exclusive artwork onto fine cotton voile in India; to the indigenous women’s textile cooperative that naturally hand-dyes yarns to weave on antique looms in Ecuador preserving their artistic process, and we support ethical, sustainable production and fair. We are dedicated to wages.
Our brand evolved after a soul-searching trip to India where we discovered the art of block printing. We envisioned using our bold, original designs with this ancient craft. Cut to two years later and our lives and careers have taken a new and more meaningful path. As eternal students of art and culture, our fascination with century old artisanal techniques has taken us from India to Ecuador and back.
In both countries our products are hand-crafted by artisans who work with traditional methods that have been passed down through multiple generations. We are constantly in awe of their methods and in love with the end results.
